Website Terms and Conditions of Use

1. Introduction

Welcome to the website of Palermo Transfer Tour S.r.l.s. These Terms and Conditions govern the use of the site and the services offered by our company, which deals with Rental with Driver (NCC). By accessing and using the Site, the user accepts without reservations to respect and be bound by the terms and conditions reported here.

2. Definitions

  • “Services” : refers to the Chauffeur-driven Rental services offered through our Site, including but not limited to transfers to and from airports, stations, and other destinations, as well as other private transportation services.
  • "Customer" : the natural or legal person who uses the Site to book NCC Services.
  • "Site" : the website www.palermotransfertour.it and all its contents, services and features.

3. Use of the Site

You agree to use the Site only for lawful purposes and in accordance with applicable laws. You agree not to use the Site for any activity that could damage, disable, overburden, or impair the functionality of the Site, or interfere with any other user's use of the Site.

4. Booking of Services and Company Policy and Conditions of Carriage

  • Online booking : services must be booked at least 24 hours in advance of the service. For bookings received without adequate notice, Palermo Transfer Tour may not guarantee acceptance of the services; however, the company will still try to make itself available for the service.
  • When booking, it is mandatory to provide the following information:
  1. Number of passengers and number of bags (read carefully Point 6 Conditions for transport);
  2. Date and time of appointment with the customer (time, origin and flight/ship/train number in the case of airport/port/railway arrival transfers);
  3. Pick-up address and travel itinerary;
  4. Name, surname and mobile number of the customer;

Please note: The customer is required to be extremely accurate in communicating data; Palermo Transfer Tour srls . will not be in any way responsible in the event of incorrect data being communicated by the customer; the data provided will be processed in accordance with current privacy legislation.

  • Confirmation: Once the booking is completed, the Customer will receive a confirmation by email with all the details of the requested service, including the time and meeting point with the driver. Palermo Transfer Tour reserves the right to accept or decline the booking request, in which case the Customer will receive communication. The payment will be issued via the “Stripe” platform in order to guarantee transparency and security of payments; the payment will remain pending until the requested service has been accepted (and therefore the booking is confirmed) by Palermo Transfer Tour srls. if Palermo Transfer Tour srls . does not accept the booking for logistical reasons, “Stripe” will return the sums relating to the booking to the Customer.
  • Changes and cancellations: Changes to your booking or cancellation must be communicated at least 24 hours before the scheduled time of service, otherwise cancellation charges may apply (see our "Cancellation Policy" section).
  1. Cancellations received less than 12 hours before the scheduled time will be subject to a penalty equal to 50% of the service cost.
  2. Cancellations received within a shorter timeframe and in the event that the customer does not show up or refuses the booked service will be subject to a penalty equal to 100% of the amount of the service itself.

Please note: The cancellation, in order to be accepted, must be sent via email. For cancellations by the customer, caused by unforeseen events due to reasons beyond its control, Palermo Transfer Tour may not apply any penalty (after receiving the appropriate justifications and after consulting the legal area). In this case the cancellation is accepted immediately also through the telephone channel.

Any changes to the data transmitted during the booking phase will be accepted within 4 hours of the appointment time. After this deadline, in the event of a request to change the data transmitted during the booking phase (service times or itinerary), the minimum amount owed by the customer to Palermo Transfer Tour will still be the one previously established during the booking phase. The itinerary that the vehicle will have to follow, to carry out the service, must be pre-established with the customer during the booking phase; any unexpected changes to the route, implemented for reasons other than emergencies or heavy traffic (technical problems with the vehicle, illness of the driver or passengers), will be subject to the charge of an additional fee proportional to the difference in mileage between the pre-established route and the route actually followed.

  • Delays and no-shows: For all airport, port and railway services, in the event of a no-show by passengers within the 15-minute time limit from the appointment time and without any telephone warning (no-show), the driver is allowed to leave the meeting point: the service will still be charged for the full amount of the booking. The 15-minute tolerance is also applied in the case of non-airport services (e.g. Hotels).
  • Conditions for transfers to airports: The customer or passengers are required to promptly notify Palermo Transfer Tour srls by telephone in the event of unforeseen events, canceled flights, or delays in the preliminary operations for boarding the plane; in the event of a delay by passengers with respect to the pre-established meeting time at the meeting point at the airport, a free wait by the driver of up to 50 minutes from the scheduled landing time is tolerated; beyond this deadline, the customer is required to pay an additional fee for the additional wait by the driver, as established by the company price list.

Please note: Availability to carry out the booked service may not be guaranteed once the tolerance times regarding delays have been exceeded and without any warning; in this case the service will still be fully charged.

  • Meeting point: The default meeting point at the airport is at “arrivals”; any other meeting point must be communicated by the customer at the time of booking. The driver will wait for the passengers by showing a sign with their name, surname and company logo. Once contact is established, the driver will accompany the passengers to the vehicle parked in the spaces specifically designated by the Airport Administration. Passengers are not allowed to choose a different place to board, in compliance with the legislation relating to airport traffic. In the event of early arrival of passengers at the meeting point with respect to the time established on the reservation, they are requested to wait for the arrival of the driver until the scheduled meeting time.
  • Conditions for transport: Each passenger can carry up to one suitcase and one hand luggage; the quantity of luggage exceeding the permitted amount must be declared at the time of booking to avoid the assigned vehicle not being suitable for the service. Otherwise, Palermo Transfer Tour srls . reserves the right to request, when permitted by the capacity of the vehicle, a supplement of € 20 for each extra piece of luggage or to cancel the service, charging the full amount anyway. All transported objects travel under the responsibility of the owners; Palermo Transfer Tour srls . will not be responsible for damage or loss of transported objects.

Any transportation of pets must be communicated in advance during the booking phase in the appropriate “NOTES” and must be carried out using the appropriate containers. The transportation of disabled, non-ambulatory and minors must be communicated during the booking phase in order to prepare the vehicle suitable for the specific transportation in accordance with current legislation (also to find any child restraint seats). All children under 15 years of age must be accompanied by an adult. Palermo Transfer Tour reserves the right to cancel the service and charge the entire amount in any case in the event that, during the booking phase, this transportation request was not specified.

  • Behaviour of passengers on board the vehicle

    Users of the rental service are prohibited from:

  1. smoking during transport;
  2. drinking and carrying alcoholic beverages in the passenger compartment;
  3. throwing objects from vehicles, whether stationary or moving;
  4. soil, dirty or damage the vehicle; in the event of damage to the vehicle being detected, compensation will be requested from the transported user;
  5. request the transport of pets without having adopted, in agreement with Palermo Transfer Tour, all useful measures to avoid damaging or soiling the vehicle;
  6. request a stop of the vehicle not already foreseen in the booking phase; the stop is permitted exclusively for emergency reasons (illness or technical problems with the vehicle); any changes in route or any unforeseen stop with respect to the itinerary established in the booking phase will, in any case, be charged by Palermo Transfer Tour to the customer according to the company price list;
  7. disturb the driver while driving through rude discussions or violent behavior.
  • Safety and accidents: Palermo Transfer Tour srls guarantees maximum safety in transport in compliance with current regulations both in civil matters and in the Highway Code; in the event of a road accident, both with and without liability of the driver of Palermo Transfer Tour srls, the company will ensure maximum transparency and collaboration for compensation purposes, also by making available the legal collaboration of the firm of the lawyer Roberto Orlando, an expert in the field (subject to the consent of the legitimate active party).

5. Prices and Payments

  • The prices of the Services are indicated on the Site at the time of booking and include all taxes, unless otherwise indicated.
  • For payments, www.palermotransfertour.it uses the Stripe platform that accepts all major credit and debit cards from customers around the world (Visa / Mastercard / American Express). Stripe is an external platform for online payments that allows you to make payments with a debit card, rechargeable card or credit card , etc. It is a safe and fast solution: payments are processed virtually instantly. It is not necessary to create a Stripe account (although recommended): all you need is a valid Visa, Mastercard or American Express credit, debit or rechargeable card. Stripe supports 3D Secure for any payment and meets the most stringent requirements in terms of online security. Stripe is certified as a service provider compliant with the PCI standard, level 1. For each transaction carried out with this method, a confirmation email will be sent by Stripe. The amount of the order is charged to the current account connected to the credit card at the time of order confirmation. Stripe prevents fraudulent activity by detecting any suspicious activity and also works with Global Partners Networks and Credit Card Networks to monitor fraudulent activity. The Customer can use the currency of the country in which they reside. The availability of other currencies depends on where the bank account connected to the credit/debit card is located. In case of cancellation, the amount is refunded to the bank account connected to the Customer's credit card. Palermo Transfer Tour declines any responsibility for disputes related to purchases. All disputes are managed directly by Stripe. To learn more about how Stripe manages disputes: https://stripe.com/help/disputes. To learn more about Stripe, visit www.stripe.com. All transactions are processed via a secure server, guaranteeing Palermo Transfer Tour customers maximum data protection. In order to guarantee greater protection for purchases made in the e-commerce sector, Palermo Transfer Tour uses 3D secure authentication for all transactions made with credit/debit/prepaid cards. Thanks to Verified By Visa or Mastercard services Securecode , the customer is asked for a PIN security code to confirm the transaction.   • Each payment made within the platform will refer exclusively to the requested and booked service, therefore the payment that will be made will be considered "one-off";
  • The customer authorizes Palermo Transfer Tour to give instructions to the financial institution that issued his/her card to debit amounts on the card account in compliance with the terms of the current agreement signed;

6. Customer Obligations

The Customer undertakes to:

  • Provide correct and complete information during the booking process.
  • Be present at the agreed meeting point upon the driver's arrival.
  • Observe all safety regulations when transporting, including the use of seat belts, if applicable.
  • Be responsible for any damage caused to the vehicle or the driver due to negligent or incorrect behavior.

7. Responsibility

  • Limitation of Liability: Palermo Transfer Tour srls is not responsible for delays or inconveniences caused by circumstances beyond our control, such as unexpected traffic, natural events, mechanical breakdowns of the vehicle or delays in public transport.

8. Privacy and Data Protection

To use our Services, the Customer will need to provide some personal information. Personal information will be treated in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which can be found on our Site in the dedicated section.

9. Intellectual Property

All content on the Site, including texts, images, logos, trademarks, graphics and software, are the exclusive property of Palermo Transfer Tour srls in the person of the legal representative pro tempore and sole director including the respective copyrights. It is forbidden to reproduce, distribute, modify or use the contents of the Site without our prior written consent.

10. Changes to the Terms and Conditions

Palermo Transfer Tour srls reserves the right to modify or update these Terms and Conditions at any time. The modifications will be communicated on the Site and will be effective immediately from the date of publication.

11. Applicable Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms and Conditions are governed by Italian law. In the event of disputes relating to the interpretation, validity or execution of these Terms and Conditions, the competent court will be exclusively that of Palermo, unless the applicable law provides otherwise.
